Fiercely rooted in the arts, the girl who left her Pennsylvania home to study at the Rhode Island School of Design has now grown into a woman who embraces the journey and is confident in what she wants to say as a songwriter and visual artist. Amanda has been compared to Jewel and Sheryl Crow and combines acoustic guitar with her clear and pure vocals and honest delivery.

Causing ripples with her debut EP Chalkboard (with Jim Salamone) and the award-winning Christmas single, Left Alone with You (written with Craig Lackey), Amanda’s work has continued to grow in depth and skill.

Working on her upcoming project, Amanda leans into her country roots growing up listening to 92.5 WXTU and Sirius The Highway and expands on her niche as the local opening act as she sets her sights on the future. She has opened for Catie Curtis, Justin Townse Earle, the Good Lovelies, and The Honey Dewdrops among many, and often held the role of a solo set on festival stages. After spending four years living in Nashville working on her craft, Amanda is now living between Bucks County Pa and Ocean Grove, Nj.

Also an award-winning painter and photographer, Amanda continues to work and express herself through the lens of a woman defining her own path and refusing to let others dictate how one can be an artist.

"Penecale sings her original songs in a crystal clear voice that lacks the shyness that is often found in a lot of singer/songwriters. Enjoyable music no matter what your preferred genre.”
-The indie Music Review
[Time and Tide] is kind of in the brand of Natalie Merchant with darker, more brooding overtones, a la Sarah McLaughlin.
“”There are few people who can tell stories in song, yet newcomer Amanda Penecale is one of them. Her words and music echo a sweet and sad sentiment of memories, emotions and reflections.”" -Lindsey Borders, Guitar Girl Magazine”
