Photography

As a photographer I am interested in finding the beauty in the seasons, textures, growth, and movement in nature. My work ranges from traditional landscape imagery to abstracted close up images. I am inspired by the purity of the F64 group and artists such as Ansel Adams and Immogen Cunningham. I am also excited about finding shapes and colors and exploring how they hold emotions. I look to Georgia O'Keeffee and the the post-painterly abstraction of Helen Frankenthaler to inspire me to push the boundaries of color.

Finding My Way Home

This series of photographs is a study of the land and grounds of my family farm in Bucks County, Pa. Like many artists before me, I love to continue to revisit the same subject to seek more understanding and depth. I work to explore how natural forces and the eb and flow of the growing seasons offer new experiences to be interpreted with the camera.
