"Penecale sings her original songs in a crystal clear voice that lacks the shyness that is often found in a lot of singer/songwriters. Enjoyable music no matter what your preferred genre.”-The Indie Music Review

”There are few people who can tell stories in song, yet newcomer Amanda Penecale is one of them. Her words and music echo a sweet and sad sentiment of memories, emotions and reflections.”" -Lindsey Borders, Guitar Girl Magazine”

about

Amanda Penecale is a Pennsylvania-born singer-songwriter based along the New Jersey Shore whose folk-country sound and vivid storytelling have earned her a growing following throughout the Northeast. Blending poetic lyricism with equal parts vulnerability and grit, her songs draw from the Nashville songwriting tradition while remaining deeply rooted in the landscapes and people that shaped her.

Her 2024 single "Old Friend" reached No. 7 on the Folk Music Radio Chart, marking her first national chart success as an independent artist. Her music has received regional airplay on the stations she grew up listening to, WXPN and WXTU, and she has performed at Bethlehem Musikfest and listening rooms throughout the Mid-Atlantic. Amanda has twice been recognized as a finalist by the Philadelphia Songwriters Project, and her co-write "Left Alone With You," written with Craig Lackey, achieved notable success as a top three finalist in the 4th Annual Christmas Songwriting Competition hosted by the USA Songwriting Competition.

Penecale is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design with a degree in Illustration and a constant interest in painting and photography. She spent five years writing, performing, and sharpening her craft in Nashville. Now back on the East Coast, she continues to co-write with Nashville collaborators while performing throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Her 2026 performance schedule includes her Albert Music Hall main stage debut and an appearance on the Garden Stage at the New Jersey Folk Festival. With a voice that invites comparisons to Kacey Musgraves and Sara Jarosz, and a new collection of music slated for release this year, Amanda Penecale continues to establish herself as one of the region's compelling independent voices in Americana and folk-country.
